Phase 1 – Debris Removal & Disposal, Groundwork Fence and Cattle Guards. Phase 2 – Signage, solar lights, shade structures, and updated maps. Download
Project Names: December 2024 - Carson City BLM Operations Maintenance Education and Enforcement Applicant: Carson City Bureau of Land Management Grant Request: $200,000.00 Synopsis: Focus on the following OHV areas: Moon Rocks, Jumbo Grade, Wilson Grade, Wilson Canyon, Sand Mountain, Stead MX Track and the Pine Nuts. Provide supplemental rules allowing Law Enforcement to better enforce issues regarding health and safety. Download
Project Names: December 2024 - Elgin Schoolhouse OHV Trailhead Restroom and Amenities Applicant: Nevada Division of State Parks Grant Request: $150,000.00 Synopsis: The Eglin Schoolhouse State Historic Site is a popular stopping point for OHV's and visitors traveling by car. The Nevada Division of State Parks would like to install a restroom and amenities that would serve outdoor recreationists in the area. Specifically, this project would consist of the construction of an ADA trailhead restroom and parking, an ADA accessible walkway, picnic tables, trash receptacles, a kiosk, a water bottle filling station, informational brochures, and several wayfinding trail signs. Project Names: December 2024 - Explore Nevada Applicant: Arborglyph Grant Request: $56,692.00 Synopsis: The goal for this project is to create four 10 – 20-minute feature videos on OHV destinations in Nevada (one per quarter) over the next 12 months. This will reach new and existing users who are searching for OHV content based on location and type of activity. Download
Project Names: December 2024 - Humbolt Toiyabe National Forest, Spring Mountains National Recreation Area - OHV/Motorized Trails Program Applicant: US Forest Service Grant Request: $139,740.23 Synopsis: Spring Mountain National Recreation Area requests funding to purchase a UTV and an enclosed trailer that will be both transport and storage for the UTV. The UTV and trailer will be used by SMNRA Recreation OHV Technicians to properly perform trail management, trail maintenance, law enforcement (NRS 490), and education (field interactions and signage). Project Names: December 2024 - NV OHV: Ride Hard Ride Safe Winter Safety Videos Applicant: Trespasser Productions Grant Request: $52,777.00 Synopsis: Through the Nevada OHV: Ride Hard, Ride Safe Winter Safety Videos project, we will produce, shoot, and deliver two engaging educational films focused on safety and responsible winter OHV recreation in Nevada. These films will cover Snowmobiling, Timber-Sledding, and UTV riding, providing essential guidance for safe and responsible winter exploration in Nevada. Download
Project Names: December 2024 - Ride Safe, Ride Smart Education, Outreach and Resources Applicant: Nevada Outdoor School Grant Request: $210,795.00 Synopsis: Provide resources for NOS to continue and expand education and outreach, while encouraging all current and potential OHV users in Nevada to understand laws and regulations. Project Names: December 2024 - Sierra Avalanche Center Avalanche Forecast Applicant: Sierra Avalanche Center (SAC) Grant Request: $106,818.00 Synopsis: Collectively the Forecasters and Professional Observers are in the field approximately 315 days during a winter season recording snow and weather data in order to understand what is happening in the snowpack and then produce a daily avalanche forecast. Project Names: December 2024 - Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan and Statewide Trails Plan 2027-2036 Applicant: Nevada Division of State Parks Grant Request: $50,000.00 Synopsis: The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) and Statewide Trails Plan, will gather information and identify recommendations to guide the State of Nevada, other land management agencies, and stakeholders in the management and resource distribution related to outdoor recreation, and motorized and non-motorized trails in Nevada. Project Names: December 2024 - Storey County NRS 490 Enforcement & Education/Outreach Applicant: Storey County Sherrif's Office Grant Request: $28,065.78 Synopsis: Prior to 2023, the Storey County Sherrif's Office had no OHV/NRS 490 enforcement program. This is part of a multi-phase project for Storey County to have a robust and positive program in the county. Phase One is equipment, enforcement, and education/outreach. Download
Project Names: December 2024 - THE RIDE GUIDE - Video/Photo Series Applicant: Generikal Design Grant Request: $83,000.00 Synopsis: Produce a video series called “THE RIDE GUIDE”. This video series will be a relatable, repeatable, and visually engaging video guide that anyone can use regardless of motorized disciple. Inform and educate the public about OHV safety in a way that does not take away from enjoyment while riding OHV’s. Download
Project Names: December 2024 -Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Off-Highway Vehicles Illegal Dumpsite Prevention and Cleanups Applicant: Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Grant Request: $19,390.12 Synopsis: Organize, advertise, and staff three cleanups for illegal dumping on OHV trails and their access roads in 2025, incorporate new sites into our established yearly Litter Survey in July, evaluate the need of sites for a potential additional 2 cleanups, and purchase a used 4-wheel-drive vehicle. Project Names: December 2024- Lyon County Safe Rider Applicant: Lyon County Sherrif's Office Grant Request: $108,970.00 Synopsis: Acquire a specialized off-road NRS 490 enforcement pick- up truck used as the primary vehicle for OHV enforcement. Download
Project Names: January 2024 - Elko Motocross Track Phase 3 Applicant: Elko Motocross Club Grant Request: $137,523.39 Synopsis: Continued construction (phase 3) of the Hillside Motorsports Track. Phase 3 funding will be used to install components to provide power to site and buildings constructed during Phase 2. Download

Project Names: January 2024 - Pahrump OHV Track Phase 2 Applicant: Town of Pahrump Grant Request: $81,900.00 Synopsis: Design the Pahrump Fairgrounds OHV Park consisting of a Motocross track, Long and Short tracks, junior, peewee skills area, and multiple play areas. Download
Project Names: January 2024 - Railroad Safety Awareness for OHV’s Applicant: Rail Aware Inc. Grant Request: $3,162.00 Synopsis: Provide railroad public safety awareness training to the Nevada off Highway Vehicle community. Download
Project Names: January 2024 - Ride Safe and Smart Humboldt County 2024 Applicant: Humboldt County Sheriff's Office Grant Request: $22,151.00 Synopsis: Continue partnership with Nevada Outdoor School to continue "Ride Safe and Smart Humboldt County" by hosting a minimum of four rider safety training classes for dirt bikes, side by sides, and ATV's. Project Names: January 2024 - Storey County NRS 490 Enforcement & Education/Outreach 2024 Applicant: Storey County Sheriff's Office Grant Request: $36,862.00 Synopsis: Purchase two offroad motorcycles to be used for NRS 490 Enforcement, education and outreach events. Two deputies will be trained to operate the OHVs purchased by these funds. Download
Project Names: January 2024 - Tread Lightly! Nevada 2024 Applicant: Tread Lightly! Inc. Grant Request: $112,560.00 Synopsis: Continue to support the salary of an in-state program manager. Fund the supplies and materials for the state program, and work with the Bureau of Land Management to develop a funding request to support the communications efforts. Download
Project Names: January 2024 - Whatever M/C OHV Outreach 2024 Applicant: Whatever M/C Grant Request: $31,114.00 Synopsis: Obtaining new OHV registrations and promoting a Ride safe Ride smart program. This project would allow Whatever M/C to offer an OHV registration event at a Motorcycle Racing Association of Northern Nevada race located in a heavily OHV concentrated area. Download
Project Names: January 2024 - Winnemucca Motocross Club 2024 Applicant: Winnemucca Motocross Association, Inc Grant Request: $112,900.00 Synopsis: With this opportunity, we are looking to purchase a 4,000-gallon water truck and a disc to attach to our tractor. We have a licensed and professional heavy machinery mechanic company who has agreed, in writing, to properly maintain (per OEM standards) any newly obtained equipment. The water truck will be titled under Nevada Off Highway Vehicle Program. Download
